- APA Council is composed of psychologists from practice, science, academic, and organizational backgrounds. I will work towards consensus among these various groups to do what is best for the entire field of psychology.

- Increase membership by working with diverse groups. This is my highest priority. I will work to strengthen Council by building consensus among the various groups.

- Help to increase unity among the various groups of psychologists to strengthen the entire field of psychology. Use skills of consensus building.

- Increase relevance of Division 31 to the needs of its members.

- Build bridges with other associations to form strong coalitions.

- Advocate for mental health parity. Continue to support prescriptive authority, non-consolidation of Boards of Psychology.
|
- Advocate for access to good mental health care for all consumers, including those without any insurance. Prescription Privileges for Psychologists is one access issue. I have worked for the implementation of legislation mandating hospital privileges for psychologists working in state hospitals and for legislation to continue community treatment programs.
